Dreamin' of Paradise: February 2011

Whew, what a week! Between still not being able to find my camera charger and fighting this sinus infection, I'm exhausted! Haven't had much crafting time, but I did complete my Design Team project for Fussy and Fancy this week. The challenge this week is Something Sweet and we are asking to see real candy being used on your projects! What a fun and different challenge this was!

For my project, I used two of the new stamps I just received from the So Special Collection by Magnolia. I absolutely LOVE this collection - so many adorable images. As soon as I saw these two (Waiting Tilda and Shy Rose Edwin) I pictured a project I just had to complete....this one! It's my first attempt at a double stair step card and I LOVE how it turned out!

The paper is all by Echo Park - the Be Mine collection and I love how the silver, pink, and white go together. The Loving wishes stamp is also by Magnolia. I tried a new technique with this project - paper piercing. Tilda's dress and shoes on the card were both paper pierced and I really like this technique. The rest of the stamps were colored with Copics and I cut the images out by hand. I adhered some glittery chipboard hearts to my project and added three Dove Chocolate hearts to the middle stair - a perfect Valentine's Day treat!

I also made another project - a Candy Bar pouch that will hold a King Size Hershey Bar perfectly! Once again, I used the Echo Park Be Mine Collection, as well as the same Waiting Tilda iamge.
